The GreenTEA project (Improving green tourism education in the higher education system through the development of alternative learning opportunities) started in October this year, and its goal is to create educational materials and a platform for e-learning about green tourism, in order to contribute to a more inclusive higher education and assisted climate change mitigation activities in tourism. Topics included in the educational materials include the pro-environmental behaviour of tourists, the involvement of stakeholders in the decision-making process in tourism, issues related to climate change and its impact on tourism, and various activities and ways that can contribute to mitigating climate change (environmental management systems and certification programs, resource management in tourism, circular tourism and green practices in tourism).
